Obituary of Robert Winston Saum, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Winston Saum, Jr., 74, loving father of two daughters and adoring husband to wife Elizabeth Saum, passed away in the afternoon hours of December 25^th , surrounded by his family. Bob was born in 1949 in Harrisonburg, VA. He became fascinated with bowling at the young age of 6, which became his lifelong passion. Bob and Elizabeth married in 1984 and began building their life together. He had a love for teaching his daughter in sports and really enjoyed cheering and supporting them in all of their life goals and endeavors. He cherished his time spent with his family at their beach condo, Caribbean cruises, and having drinks by the pool.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; daughters Stacey (Amber) Meyers of Roanoke, VA, Kelley Sherman (Jesse Argenbright) of Nashville, TN; brother Keith (Ellen) Saum, and nephew Eric Saum of Harrisonburg, VA, and his beloved fur baby Hank.

The family will receive visitors between 12 noon to 1pm, Friday December 29^th, at Simpson Funeral Home on Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA. A service will immediately follow, starting at 1pm, for those who wish to pay their respects.
