Obituary of Joyce "Granny" T. Martin

Joyce T. "Granny" Martin, 79, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 11, 2023.  She was preceded by her parents, Harold & Minnie Thompson;  and brothers, Harold Thompson, Dudley Thompson, and Buddy Ray Thompson.  

Surviving are her children, Eddie Martin (Kathy), Julie Martin, Lisa Nicely (Brandon), and Ricky Martin (Renee'); eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brother, Paul Owen Thompson, Sr. (Shirley); sister, Doris Jean Hollingsworth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540 366 0707
