Obituary of Mildred McCorkle

Mildred "Kitten" McCorkle went home to be with the Lord in her forever home on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.  She passed away peacefully with family members at her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Houston McCorkle, Sr.  "Kitten" was much loved by her family and friends.

Surviving are her sons, Jack H. (Vickie) McCorkle, Jr., and Kevin R. (Selena) McCorkle; daughter, Sandra J. McCorkle; granddaughters, Vanessa McCorkle and Logann McCorkle; sister, Betty Lou Cromer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the staff in the Emergency Room at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital, the staff at Oakwood Rehab and Healthcare; and the staff at Carilion Westlake Clinic for their care and many acts of kindness.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
