Obituary of Clyde Kenneth Venable

Clyde Kenneth (Ken) Venable, 83, of Botetourt County passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde R. and Mabel Venable.

Mr. Venable was a graduate of William Fleming High School and Virginia Tech.  He proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and later worked as an investigator for the Virginia State Bar Association.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Cecil Venable; son, Craig Venable (Heidi); daughter, Jennifer Venable (Joe Bergin); grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon, Alec, Ethan and Maggie; brothers, Robert (Bob) Venable (Bonnie), and Julian Venable (Suzie); numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center of Roanoke 5985 Coleman Road Roanoke, VA  24018  swvawildlifecenter.org.

Funeral services will be private.
