Alice l. Pacetti, 79, was born on October 24, 1944 and passed away on November 5, 2023. She was born and raised in the New Castle area of Craig County, VA and was the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie Hancock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Pacetti; daughter, Frances Bayne; son, Carlos Delbert and two infant sons, Michael and Lawrence Pacetti; sister, Elizabeth Fisher.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie P. Ferris; step-children, Curtis Pacetti and Connie King; her companion, Dennis Carter, Sr.; her life-long best friend, Emily “Ginny” Powers; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She had many friends and she always tried to help others. It did not matter if she knew you or not. She retired from LOA (Meals on Wheels) where she was a coordinator. She loved what she did and she made sure that the people she cared for always had a hot meal and did not go hungry. She always had the hope of being able to help others even after her passing and with that in mind she donated her body to science where she will continue to help others. She was a very loving woman and she will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of her life will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on December 7, 2023 in the banquet hall of the AMVETS.

Online condolences may be sent to www.simpsonfuneral.com and the family has requested that any cards or memorial donations be sent to Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019  in her honor.
