Obituary of Sharon Patricia Reynolds

In Loving Memory of Sharon Reynolds (1953-2023).

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Reynolds, a beloved wife, sister, mother, and dear friend. Sharon departed this world on November 11, 2023, in her hometown of Roanoke, VA, at the age of 70.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Reynolds; beloved sister, Debbie Elkins; and many extended family members. She is preceded in death by her son, Gary Dooley and her mother, Alice Mills.

Sharon graduated from Virginia Western Community College's RN program with honors and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Throughout her career as an RN, she touched, and was touched, by many lives. She worked in a variety of healthcare settings but found her greatest satisfaction in being a hospice nurse.

Sharon's faith was an intregal part of her life, and she found solace and strength in the embrace of Jerusalem Baptist Church. It was within these hallowed walls that she nurtured her soul and found comfort in the company of her fellow worshippers.

To honor Sharon's life, a Celebration of Life will be held at Jerusalem Baptist Church on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00am. We kindly invite all family, friends, and community members who were touched by Sharon's presence to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Blue Ridge Cancer Society. By supporting this worthy cause, you will contribute to the fight against cancer, a cause that was close to Sharon's heart.

As we bid farewell to Sharon, let us hold onto the memories of her kindness, love, and unwavering spirit. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us all.
