Obituary of R. Berkley Huddleston, III

R. Berkley Huddleston, 63, of Roanoke passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby; brother, Ned; sister, Linda; and brother-in-law, Russell.

Berkley was a graduate of Roanoke College an avid sportsman and loved fishing and playing pranks on friends and co workers.  He was a member of Elks Lodge # 197 where he made many friends.

Surviving is his wife, Kellie Ann; mother, Virginia Huddleston; brother, John Huddleston; step daughter, Crystal Samuel (Dan); step Son, David; grandchildren, David and Avery; many cousins including, Leslie, Kelly, Judy, and Joan; nephew, Ethan Edgehill (fiancee' Kait); niece, Sarah;  and many friends including, Kathy Elmore, Missy, Hounddog, Scott, and Jon and Vicki Halfretys.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Angels of Assisi.

A memorial mass will be conducted  5:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023  at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church 2505 Electric Road Roanoke, VA.  A celebration of Berkley's life will immediately follow at the Coffee Pot  2902 Brambleton Avenue SW Roanoke, VA  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home 3912 Electric Road.  540-632-4200
