Obituary of Nancy Jane Kimball Cleveland

Nancy Jane (Kimball) Cleveland 86 passed away peacefully on Wednesday Oct 25, 2023 at The Glebe Senior Living Community in Daleville, VA.

 

She was born in April 7, 1937 in Ferrisburgh, VT, the daughter of Theodore and Alice (Donovan) Kimball. One of 4 daughters and 2 sons.

 

Nancy lived in Vermont until she moved to Washington DC area to work at the Navy Dept in the 50’s where she met her future husband and raised 4 children.  She later moved back to Vermont where she worked and retired from Middlebury College as an accountant.  Soon after in 2005 she relocated to be near her son and daughter-in-law in VA.   

Her joys in life were traveling to see her children in various location in the US, Visiting American historical sites, Reading, Gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Nancy spent retirement free time helping with the bookkeeping and attending service at the St Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville, became a member of the Botetourt NSDAR, and gathered weekly for dinner at various locations with the Sassy Ladies.

 

Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents, her brother George Kimball, sister Jackie Provencher, son Mark Cleveland, and daughter Nancy Cleveland

 

Nancy is survived by: her children, Tamara Cleveland, Skip and his wife Debbie Cleveland: also by sisters Sylvia Fisk, Trudy Stagg,: and brother David Kimball.

 

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday November 4, 2023 at the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville.
