Obituary of Darlene Morris Hutchison

Darlene Morris Hutchison, 81, of Roanoke passed away peacefully Saturday, October 21, 2023 while surrounded by family and friends.  She was preceded in death by a son, Everette "Butch" Hutchison, Jr.; parents, John and Clara Morris; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Hutchison was known by those in the community as "Momma Hutch".  She was a devoted caregiver and prayer warrior.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Everette Wayne Hutchison; children, David Hutchison, John Hutchison (Paula), Pam Beckner, Chrystall Ayers (Lee), and Monica Hutchison; grandchildren, Jordy Hutchison, Josh Hutchison, Ashley Hutchison, Jennifer Dooley, Brittany Hutchison, Erika Thompson (Adam), Jesse Beckner (Candice), Isaiah Hutchison, and Marica Hutchison; twelve great grandchildren; and many other beloved extended family members.

A celebration of Darlene's life will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at Colonial Baptist Church 221 Hillcrest Street Blue Ridge, VA by Pastor Joel Wegner.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
