Obituary of Dolores Law Dunbar

Dolores Law Dunbar, 86, widow of Albert A. Dunbar, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Lucy Mae Deal Law. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Bernice Law.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Melissa Boone (Greg) and Crystal Main (Kelly); son, Keith Dunbar (Heather); grandchildren, Cameron Main, Grace Boon, Katie Dunbar, and Codi Dunbar; sisters, Bonnie Ann Ratcliffe, Sharon Faye Shelton, and Valerie Mae Augustine (Wayne); brother, Roy Lee Law.

Tell my “Sweet Pea” Grace Boone, Cameron Main, Katie and Codi Dunbar that I am so blessed to have them as my grandchildren. I may be gone from here but I will always be in your heart. To my sister, Val Augustine, thank you for always being there for me. To my special friends, Yvonnie Lucas and Elinor Brown, I thank God for you and for your constant support; my nephew, Jay Law for your prayers and for being there; my nieces, Rhonda and Rudy, I have always loved you both; my sisters, Bonnie, Sharon, Valerie and my brother Roy, I have always loved you; my best friend, Pat Lyndsey – I love you.

Services to honor her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Law officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA.
