Obituary of Charlotte Childers Taylor

Charlotte Childers Taylor, 76, of Roanoke went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.  She was preceded by her parents, and several aunts and uncles.

Charlotte was a member of Roanoke Valley Baptist Temple.  She was known by many as a devoted Christian and compassionate caregiver.

Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Jim Taylor; her devoted pet, Barney; cousins, Jeff and Doug Thurman, and Joyce Kardos; sisters-in-law, Nancy Bradley and Emma Russell; brothers-in-law, Autry Taylor (Louise) and Freel Taylor (Peggy).

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Roanoke Valley Temple 2611 10th Street Roanoke, VA  24012.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Terry Mabry.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
