My name is Jeff Taylor and I have a therapy dog that I take to the VVCC on Saturday's. We met Ed April of 2022. My dog Zeus and Ed hit it off right away. Ed called himself Uncle Ed to Zeus. He kept Milkbones in his room for Zeus. Ed always enjoyed our visits and I hope we brought him some joy because he did to us Rest in peace Ed

My deepest condolences go out to Lisa, David, and Chris. It is with a heavy heart I must say the world lost a genuine, kind, hilarious, selfless, courageous soul. Katzie was the kind of person that could lighten the heaviest of rooms with his humor and charm. He had a gift to blend his real world knowledge, training, and experiences with joyful, playful twists. Katzie would never shy away from a challenge anymore than if he was executing another classic Katzie joke. He took everything life gave him on the chin, only to smile back with that wholesome smile of his. Katzie was the type of man that would give a stranger in the cold the shirt off his back without hesitation. I will never forget the unforgettable guidance he provided me as a child and adolescent. The memories we shared have been, and always will be, cherished for life. May he be welcomed, embraced, and dance with his parents, loved ones, and friends in the heavens.
With Love: River, Bowie, Sungei, and Ryan
For everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven.

Katzie, as he was affectionately called, brought a particular brand of humor to our family. The second of nine grandchildren, we were raised more like siblings than cousins. He was a huge presence in our family, whether we were playing in the Dunlaps Creek or growing up at camp on the Jackson River (his favorite place). When we were all together, there was always laughter, games ,and love for one another. The greatest gift he gave us was being part of our lives. Thank you for being the lovable, silly, kind, unique, unforgettable Katzie that you were.
