Obituary of Kenneth W. Glass

Kenneth W. "Ken" Glass, 86, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 27, 2023.  He was preceded by his parents, James W. "Jimmy" and Shirley Garrett Glass; his beloved daughter, Laurie Elaine Glass; sister, Shirley Glass Croft; and a brother, Paul Thomas Glass.

Ken was a former member of the North Roanoke Rotary Club; proudly served his country in the U S Air Force; and attended Harvest Ministries.

Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Barbara Thomas Glass; son, Steve Glass (Yvonne) "Dee"; daughter, Robyn Tingler (Danny); grandson, Luke Glass; brother, James L. Glass (Beverly); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, the Missions Fund at Goodview Baptist Church, or to the Missions Fund C/O Harvest Ministries.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  540 366 0707
