Obituary of D Lee Hollandsworth

D. Lee Hollandsworth, 85, of Salem passed away peacefully Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Thornton Hollandsworth; and granddaughter, Shailee Hollandsworth.

Mr. Hollandsworth was a former member of the Salem Jaycees and retired from Dominion Air and Machinery.

Surviving is his son, Terry Hollandsworth (Barbara); daughter, Sharon Weeks (David); grandchildren, Colt Hollandsworth (Angel), Dustin, Chase, and Alyssa Weeks; great grandchildren, Philip, Desiree' and Annaliese Hollandsworth; brother, James Richard Hollandsworth (Phyllis); and his devoted dog, Hank.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road with the Rev. Troy Mays officiating.   Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
