Obituary of Valena Sue Jones

Please share a memory of Valena to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Valena Sue Jones, 57, born on  May 25th,1965, of Roanoke VA, passed away April 15th, 2023. Daughter of Lavonne Pickard of North Carolina and her Father in which is deceased here in Roanoke VA Stan Pickard, Alena was the oldest sister of three girls & two brothers; Kim Pickard (Scooby), Patricia Pickard (Aunt Patty), AuntJamie Wimmer, Uncle Shawn Pickard and Uncle Stan Pickard.

Leaving behind her son David B. Jones (Little David), his three children Layla and two twin boys Jeremiah & Isaiah. Her daughter (Baby girl) Amber N. Jones (Brown). She also left behind a loving couple of miniature Chihuahuas Mikey and Sarah, and her loving Boyfriend she Mr. Bill Duncan.

Valena (VAL) had a good life. She was divorced from Ralph David Jones Jr. 57 of Jacksonville, Florida. The father of her children, he recently passed away  back in December 23rd, 2021. This caused ALOT of Val's depression but, Val was a very strong, outgoing woman she did indeed love both of her children Amber & David with all she had to give plus some. If her kids needed her, she was always there, no matter the time or day as Amber says "Mama Hardly ever said No, to my brother & I, if we needed her she was there."

Val loved camping, Fishing, and spending time with family & friends especially on the Holidays (Christmas was her favorite). Val loved the beach, laying out catching a sun tan, as the family took plenty of trips to salt house for camping & swimming growing up, along with Childhood trips to Jacksonville, Florida to visit Grandma Kayla Heald & grandpaw Mickey & the family down there. Val Left all of us in a very Harsh shock (VERY UNEXPECTEDLY) but, she is No longer in pain & suffering every day she dealt with for a very long time after her stroke & heart attack. She went peacefully in her sleep, no pain and not suffering at all, now she can rest easy, as her daughter Amber always says "ITS NOT BYE FOREVER, ITS ONLY BYE FOR NOW, WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN ONE DAY. "I LOVE YOU MAMA, MISS YOU SO MUCH MY BFF Amber N. Jones (Brown).
