Obituary of Hubert Lee Arthur

Hubert Lee Arthur, 89, widower of Lilly Jean Ratliff Arthur, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born in Botetourt County and was the son of the late Claude and Ada Guy Arthur. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Alan Arthur and a brother, Donald Richard Arthur.

Hubert was a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner/operator of the Monterey Market for more than 30 years.

He will be missed and remembered by his son, Michael Lee Arthur; granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth; sister, Joyce Manning (Ebbie); brothers, Ralph Arthur and Ronnie Arthur; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
