He leaves behind his daughter, Sandy Kelly Large and husband Jack of Roanoke, Virginia; two grandsons, Zach Large and wife Peyton of Vinton, Virginia and Seth Large of New Bern, North Carolina; great-grandson, Lane Large, expected to arrive in July; brother, Nelson Kelly and wife Maxine of Cleveland, Virginia; sister Dolly Kelly Musick and husband Sparker (Bud) of Abingdon, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.
