Obituary of Barbara Wilkerson Trent

Barbara Wilkerson Trent, 83, of Moneta went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2023.  She was preceded by her parents, Albert and Mary Goodwin Wilkerson; sisters, Shirley Painter, and Carolyn Walker; brother, Larry Wilkerson; daughter, Theresa Arey; and grandson, Willis Watts, Jr.

Surviving is her husband, Phillip M. Trent; daughter, Nora Watts; grandchildren, David Watts (Katie), Lindsey Hirzalla (Bashar), and Austin Arey (Samantha Lowe); great grandchildren, Elaina Calhoun, Brynlee Jean Watts, and Maddie Jo Watts; brother, Albert Wilkerson, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sam Draper, Lorraina McCallahan, and Butch and Connie Childress.  

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 4, 2023 in Fair View Cemetery Buchanan.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  540-366-0707
