Obituary of Billy Granite Ginger

Billy G. Ginger of Blue Ridge passed away Sunday March 12, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mundy and Eva Dannels Ginger; and brother, Robert Alexander Ginger.

Billy was a graduate of Valley High School in Warm Springs, VA.  He won numerous awards with his job at Electrolux which allowed him to travel extensively in the United States and abroad.  He was an avid golfer and even served as a golf pro at the Alleghany Country Club.  He considered his greatest accomplishment his children. One of his greatest joys was watching them play sports.  He was a member of Northview United Methodist Church and served on their security team.

Surviving is his wife, Deborah Ginger; sons, Allen Ginger, Sean Ginger (Tracy), Timmy Ginger (Pheadra); grandson, Josh Ginger (Olivia); granddaughter, Taylor Ginger; great granddaughter, Teagan Forbes.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to either the building fund or the music fund at Northview United Methodist Church 521 Ridgecrest Drive Roanoke, VA  24019

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Northview United Methodist Church by Pastor Doug Sasser.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  540-366-0707
