Obituary of Gale Lynn Terrell

Gale Lynn Terrell, 70, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.  He was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  Gale will be lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Terrell and his wife, Kyndal, and his daughter, Arrin Alaniz and her husband Heath.  He was a very proud grandfather to Saylor, Chandler, Gunnar, Hadyn, Walker, Collyns, Tucker, Londyn, and Briggs.  Also left to honor his memory are his sister, Cathy Scott and her husband Billy, his sister Connie Whitt, and his brother Courtland Terrell, and his wife Sharon.

Gale was preceded in death by his father, Courtland Terrell, his mother, Marjorie Terrell, and his niece Melissa Scott.

Gale was born and raised in Roanoke.  He worked for Precision Fabric Group for over forty years, and retired several years ago.  Gale was kind hearted, never met a stranger, and would do anything for those he cared for.  His laugh was contagious, he loved spending time with family, attending his grandkids’ games, playing in pool tournaments, watching football, and especially watching the Braves play. Gale loved the beach and going on road trips with family.  He will be greatly missed, but his compassion for others will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm at Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory, Peters Creek Road Chapel, 5160 Peters Creek  Roanoke, VA.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road, NW Roanoke, VA.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
