Obituary of Marlene Gardner Svard

Marlene Svard, 77, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Doris Gardner. Marlene is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Graham and husband Robert, Emily Woody and husband Mike; brother, Michael Gardner and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Kimberly Harvey (Jake), Lauren Cady (Zachary), Amanda Woody (Dylan).

Marlene had a great sense of humor, loved life and people, she loved her garden, flowers, as well as all the birds and butterflies that flew around them.

Services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 3 pm at Simpson Funeral Home with David Workman officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home (540)366-0707.
