Obituary of Marcia Douglas

Marcia "Marcy" Stull Douglas of Buchanan formerly of Roanoke passed away Friday, June 21, 2013. She was preceded by her daughter, Lisa Douglas Flinchum and her parents, Ernest and Mildred Stull. Mrs. Douglas was an employee of Advance Auto Corporate Office with 20 years of service. Marcy is a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend that will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Michael Douglas; three sons, Michael Douglas, II and wife, Shanna, Scott Douglas and wife Zhawn, Matthew Douglas all of Roanoke; nine grandchildren, Joan Marie Epperly, Christina Page, Danielle Nicole Flinchum, Trai Lee Wheeler, Keaira Hope Douglas, Katie Marie Dickerson, Austin Dickerson, Alexis Richardson, Zachary Byrd; one great grandchild, Mackenzie Epperly; a sister, Colleen Young and husband Sonny of Clifton Forge, brothers, Ellis Stull, Dale Stull and wife Lynda, Faron Stull and wife Sherry all of Covington; a dear and special friend, Brenda Nichols along with a host of other dear relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations made be made to the Roanoke SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24012 or the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, Va. 24426 in Marcy's memory. A memorial service celebrating Marcy's life will be held 4:00pm Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Sandifer officiating. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, June 27, 2013 before the service from 2:30pm till service time at the funeral home.
