Obituary of Frank Hobart Stamper
Frank Hobart Stamper, 77, of Salem, VA passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, with his family by his side. He was a graduate of Welch High School and was a proud US Army Vietnam Veteran. He moved to Salem, VA in 1984 after being employed as an underground miner in the coalfields of West Virginia. He retired from Novozymes Biologicals in 2007. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wirt and Jeanette Stamper; brothers, Roger and Jimmy Joe Stamper; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Mary Asalee Blasher; granddaughter, Brooks Mullen; and nephew, Joey (Josh) Tozer. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sondra Stamper; “fur baby”, Molly; daughter, Kimberly Hoffman (Josh); step daughter, Heather Pritchard; step son, Scott Pritchard; sister, Rita Cook (Jerry); brother, Sam Stamper (Ann); sisters-in-law, Valarie Alfaro (John) and Nita Stamper; niece, Suzanne Tozer, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Per his request, he will be cremated with no service. A family celebration will be held in July. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
