Obituary of Catherine Poff

Halcie Catherine Nicely Poff, 93, died Sunday December 4, 2022 after a prolonged illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Nannie Mae Moore Nicely; three husbands; fifteen siblings.

She is survived by her six children, Sharon Brown, Dallas Morton, Ron White (Sidney), Faye Dixon (Frank), Ernest White (Dee), Bill Poff (Lorraine); eighteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Pauline Kincer and Jackie Thacker.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
