Lois Patsel Adkins, 92, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2022.  She was preceded by her parents, James F. and Bessie Patsel; husband, Donald Lee Adkins, Sr.; daughter, Wanda Hayes; siblings, James Minor Patsel, Essie Smith, Christine "Teenie" Overstreet, Harding Patsel, Bessie "Tootie" Newman, and twin brother, Lewis Patsel.

Surviving is her daughter, Carolyn Adkins Martin; son, Donald Lee Adkins, Jr. and wife Denise; grandchildren, Morgan Dreher and husband Brian, Casey Smith and husband T.J., Corey Thomas and husband Ryan, Donald Edward Adkins; great grandchildren, Timothy Smith, Callie Smith, and Jacob Thomas; sister, Jean Patsel Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Riverland Road Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Donald Summerville, the Rev. Terry Nester, and the Rev. Tom Foley.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
