Obituary of Margaret Franklin Peters

Margaret Franklin Peters, 83, widow of Robert D. “Bud” Peters, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 14, 2022. She was born in Cranberry, NC and was the daughter of the late Robert A. Franklin, Sr. and the late Madge Ellen Campbell Franklin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan E. Peters; brothers, Sonny Franklin and Dwight Franklin.

She will be missed and remembered by her son, Kevin Wayne Peters (Kris); grandchildren, Emily Michelle Abbott (Fletcher), Robert Dennis Peters II (Casey), Matthew Joseph Peters; great-grandchildren, Allie Grace, Sophia Faith, Chloe Ann, Julianne Marie, Ezra David, Micaiah Paul, Hadassah Margaret, and Gideon Robert; brother, Robert Franklin, Jr.; special friend, Diane Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her church family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Fletcher Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
