Dagmar Dohnal Dillon Maroney, 81, of Roanoke (formerly of Gochshiem, Germany) passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Emma Dohnal; brothers, Helmut Dohnal and Rudy Tutsh; husband, James Maroney; son, James S. Dillon; and stepdaughter, Debbie Kusterer.

Those left to cherish her memory are; brother, Willie (Rachel) Dohnal of Bamberg, Germany; sister, Annalies (Werner) Pfortsch of Gochshiem, Germany; daughter, Debbie (Danny) Welch of Roanoke; grandchildren, Danny (Heather) Welch, Jr, Lisa (Jermaine) Moyer, Billy Ray Welch, and Matthew Adam Welch; nine great grandchildren; many special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and America.

Dagmar had many special family members and friends she loved including; Linda (Roger), Ann (Jim), Kenny (Eileen), Ilse (Heidi), Noame (David), Sandy, Kim and Buckaroo; and all of her neighbors and friends from all over the world.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastors Don Eshelman and Danny Wright.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
