Gary Wayne Maynard, 53, of Fincastle (formerly of Pineville, North Carolina) passed away Friday, June 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, John Maynard. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, LeAnna Ratliff and husband Race of Fincastle; mother, Mae Maynard of Bristol; brothers, Jim Maynard and wife Nell of Raven, Va Donald Maynard and wife Jamie of Pineville, North Carolina; Larry Maynard of Grundy and Scott Maynard also of Pineville, North Carolina; sisters, Ann Lester of Bristol; Carol Sullivan and husband Marty of Maryland; Wilma Blankenship and husband Jamie of Buchanan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 in the Mausoleum at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service.
