Obituary of Lynda Leah Key

Lynda Leah Key 54, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 1, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Almeda Turner Gentry; and several aunts and uncles.

Lynda was employed by Liberty University for 17 years.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg where she was a joyful and devoted member of the choir.

Lynda was an individual who has been described by many as "bigger than life".  Her love of music and dancing brought joy and entertainment to those around her.

Surviving is her sister, Janet Sue Key; brother, Michael Dean Harkey; aunt, Fedret Julian; and cousins, Janettte Cecil, and Debbie Jeffries.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Chaplain Tamara Jaffe.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Also, a graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 in Presbyterian Cemetery 2020 Grace Street Lynchburg, VA. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
