Obituary of Joshua John Augustin

Joshua John Augustin, 25, of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

His mother writes:

My beloved son, Joshua “Josh” Augustin, who was born October 7, 1997, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2022, in his home in Roanoke, VA.  He was 25 years old.  Josh is survived by his brothers Kathialy and Alex. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Josh loved all sports. One of his favorite teams was the Baltimore Ravens.  He was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, where he played football and basketball. He took his love of football and played in College at Bridgewater College, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree.

Son, I loved watching you play and you excelled in every sport you played. I loved seeing the joy it brought you.  I loved how passionate you were about learning.  You were a life enthusiast and loved making people laugh and making videos. You loved your sneakers. You took every opportunity to venture out and lived your best life. You were just finding your footing in life.  I am heartbroken that I will never get to see you accomplish everything you wanted to accomplish.

Josh, I have 25 wonderful years of memories that I will treasure, that we will all treasure and keep close to our hearts. My heart aches, we had an unbreakable bond, you were my friend. I would love to have you back and never let you go. Josh, our bond remains unbroken. Josh, you touched so many people in your short time in this life. Josh your life will never be in vain.

Josh, your laughter lives on, your smiles lives on, and your spirit lives on.  Thank you for always being unapologetically you.
