Obituary of Herbert Clay Overstreet

Herbert C. Overstreet also known as “Fubby”, of Roanoke, passed away, September 25, 2022 at the age of 92. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Jeri Overstreet, sons Gary (Joyce) and Mitch (Nancy), and grandchildren Amanda, Matt, Katelyn, and Kiley. He also was great grandfather to William and Wyatt.

A native of Roanoke and graduate of Jefferson High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a former Virginia State Trooper, and retired after 30 years with State Farm Insurance.”

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Herbert’s name to Oakland Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Scott Hamilton officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home (540)366-0707.
