Mary C. Swain, 54, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren James and Emma Sue Hunley; grandmother, Norma K. Hunley; and husband, Robert (Doc) Swain. Mary was a loyal employee and manager at Country Cookin. Surviving are her children, CaSaundra Swain, Jamie Smith, Chelsea Swain, and Ronald Terry III; stepdaughter, KioWanda Jasso-Littleton; sons-in-law, Jesse Taylor, and D'Juan Smith; grandchildren, Robert (Ebuss) Swain, Rhian Terry, and Sheara Brown-Taylor; sister, Annis Reed; brothers, Bill, Gary, Donald, and Odell Hunley; sisters-in-law, Sharon Garner and Dawn Swain; a number of nieces and nephews including, Carl, Shanice, and Mellissa Swain; and special friends, Tisa Nalley, Andrea Washington, Rhonda Burchette, David and Michael Preston. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1pm on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Rev. Gary Butcher. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may view after 1 pm on Sunday, June 23, 2013. The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 pm, on Sunday, at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
