Obituary of Jeff Barrett Carico

Jeff Barrett Carico, 66, of Roanoke, entered into the Lord’s presence on Friday, September 9, 2022. Jeff was born June 6, 1956 in Abingdon, Virginia. Jeff moved to Roanoke after living in many places along the way like Coeburn, Virginia, and Texas where he married and had a daughter.

Jeff was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Colts fan, and enjoyed entertaining a crowd at karaoke nights with rock and roll hits. Jeff loved sports, and was a great father, son, and friend.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father William Carico and sister Susan Carico Kern. Jeff is survived by his daughter Virginia (Ginna) Carico; mother, Louise Kilgore Carico; brother, Bill Carico and wife Patti; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Huntington Court United Methodist general fund.

Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Huntington Court United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the service at the New Yorker Deli. Services will be live streamed on Huntington Court United Methodist’s YouTube channel.
