Rosemary Hartbarger Tench, 75, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Evern and Josephine Creasy Hartberger; brothers, Ralph, Maynard, Douglas, Earl and Roger; sister, Colleen Stockton; husband Thomas Ervin "Tommy" Tench; and fiance' Talmadge Bryant Williams.

Rosemary was a 1965 graduate of Andrew Lewis High School.  She was a former employee of the Jefferson Center and retired from the Friendship Retirement Community.

Surviving are her daughters, Jennifer (John) Carista, and Jessica Tench; grandchildren, Tyler Tench, Matthew Tench, Sarah Carista, Ryan Carista, Olivia Tench, and Thomas Willie; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to an organization that is involved with animal rescue or to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Electric Road Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home 3912 Electric Road.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by the Electric Road Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home.  540-632-4200
