Nell was kind and gracious to all. We became part of her extended family by attending her annual Christmas Eve parties, for 20 years! She invited us because she knew our extended family lived far away. If she found out you had no family in town - she invited you too!
She would end the evening by playing the piano and singing carols. If she caught you not singing, she called you out; forever the music teacher! She finished the evening with the gospel- better words set to “The Night Before Christmas”. She made sure everyone knew the true meaning of Christmas!
She left a legacy of many children and grandchildren who follow Jesus! We will miss her, as will all she touched. I can see her playing the piano in heaven for Jesus!
