Obituary of Iris Geraldine Hogan Jourdan

Iris Geraldine Hogan Jourdan, 90, departed this world on Friday, August 5, 2022. She was a native of Roanoke and was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Simmons Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Beulah Hogan; sisters, Thelma Hogan and Bernice H. Peters (Pete); a son, Joseph Jourdan; husbands, Troy Lee and William Jourdan, Sr.; brother-in-law, Ronald Allen.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Terry A. Lee (Toni), Jeffrey E. Lee (Debbie), Jennifer L. Shelton (Doug), Butch Lee (Teresa), Jack Jourdan (Cindy); brother, Frank O. Hogan, Jr. (Mary); sisters, June Hogan Barber (Bill), Cherry Hogan Allen; grandchildren, Troy A. Lee, John M. Lee, Monique L. Tinnell, Leslee S. Theimer, and Wesley T. Lee; great-grandchildren, Hannah Lee, Sasha Tinnell, Gia Tinnell, Aaliyah Theimer, Beau Theimer; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caregivers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Hogan Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home.
