Obituary of Sydney Yvonne Robertson

Sarah Sydney Y.  Robertson,59, was called back home on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She will be remembered for her beauty and her kind, generous spirit. She was always giving of herself for others. As she said, “I give because I know what it is like to have nothing.”

She is survived by her husband, Hugh Thomson; sons, Michael Robertson and his fiancée Courtney, Alex Thomson and wife Letty, and Edward Thomson; daughter, Chandon Thomson; brother, David (Susan) Peterson; grandson, Arthur Thomson; sisters, Pam Hart (Wayne) King, Fran M. Hart; and Lynn (Sam) Mason; and close lifelong friends, Cindy Gutshall, Debbie Reynolds, Becca (Rick) Landerman (and their family of Carol, Gabby, Sam, and Nate), Robin Twiddy-Bowden (and her family of Steve and McKenzie), and Pat McDonald.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and professionalism.

The family plans to have a celebration of her life at a location and time to be announced later.
