Obituary of Albert Rene Bergeron

Albert Rene’ Bergeron of Roanoke, VA gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2022. Albert was formerly from New Jersey and was the son of the late Albert and Lillian Southward Bergeron. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Bergeron of New Jersey.

Albert worked for TREMCO for many years and was also the owner and operator of A & C Contracting for many years. He will be sadly missed. Gone but not forgotten.

He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 23 years, Karen Sue Bishop Bergeron; children, Stacey Bergeron of New Jersey, Brent Bergeron and Ryan Bergeron of Roanoke; step-children, David and Suzanne McAllister of Westcliffe, Colorado and Kimberly Pagans of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ashley Maclaney, Justin Higgenbotham, Brittany Bergeron, Richard Bergeron, and Skylar Dearing; step-grandchildren, Keegan McAllister, Kayleigh McAllister, Jaxon McAllister, Jenna McAllister, and Tristan Pagans; great-grandchildren, Axel Dearing and Kayden Gonzalez; sisters-in-law, Marleen Bergeron, Alice May, and Patricia Cantley; niece, Christine Shenkman; great-nephew, E.J. Shankman; as well as dear friends, Harold “Van” and Diane VanSlyke for always being there for us.

A special thank you goes to Kimberly Pagans and our surrogate granddaughter, Lydia Medeiros for their constant loving and attentive care of Albert.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Rev. Michael Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
