Obituary of Kathrine T. Smith

Kathrine Turpin Smith, 91, passed away on June 29, 2022. She was born in Macon, Georgia and was the daughter of the late James Robert nd the late Gladys Browning Turpin. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Calvin Turpin; and a sister, Ellen Munger.

Kathrine was a lovely, positive and outgoing lady. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed teaching others and running her own studio. She was a talented singer who also served as choir leader at church and was a very spiritual person. She loved to travel and see new places.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Jamie Smith (Dana) and Laura McLester (Malcolm); grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Andrew McLester (Kacey), and Amanda McLester; great-grandchildren, Marley and Maddie McLester; brother, Rev. Charles Turpin; as well as a very special friend and longtime companion, H.S. Serry.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Evergreen Burial Park with Pastor Troy Mays officiating.
