James Marvin Carroll Jr., 77 of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday May 27th, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Marvin Carroll Sr. and Francis Bess Carroll, and a brother, David Carroll.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Carroll; Son, Jimmy Carroll and wife Susan; daughter Melonie Delp and Fiancé Matthew Malcom; three grandchildren: Ben Carroll and wife Molly, Scott Carroll and wife Mattie, Jordon Delp; one great grandson Isaac; siblings, Joyce Zirkle, Freddy Carroll, Richard Carroll, Roger Carroll and wife Dorothy, and Ronnie Carroll, along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Music Ministry of West Salem Baptist Church. 500 Turner Rd. Salem, Va. in his memory.
A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will take place at West Salem Baptist Church Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. Burial immediately following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends Tuesday May 28, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. at West Salem Baptist Church.
