Obituary of Patricia Layman Turner

Patricia (Pat) Layman Turner, 81, of Roanoke passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with love surrounding her.  She is now free from the painfull suffering.she has endured in her life on this earth. She is now on her journey to a beautiful and peaceful place to be with God.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodie and Rebecca Hunt Layman, a brother, Joe Layman; and a son-in-law, Timmy Newman.

Pat was a member of Living Water Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia Craft (Paul) Oliver, Trina Pruitt Newman; Robin Shropshire Banks, Cindy Shropshire Trum, and Lori Shropshire; grandchildren, Laura Oliver and Dustin Pruitt; great grandchildren, Gabriel Mutter and Isaac Pruitt; brother, Marshall Layman; sister, Carolyn Hamrick and a devoted friend, Russ Harless.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to caregivers Donna, Khris, Jennifer, Crystal and Shelly.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Living Water Church.

Funeral services will be conducted  1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road with Pastors Paul and Tim Hatfield officiating.   Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery Buchanan, VA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangement by Simpson Funeral Home.540-366-0707
