Meredith S. “Mert” Clarke, 85, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. Meredith was preceded in death by his parents John Denton Clarke and Mildred Reid Clarke; wife, Betty Radford Clarke.
He is survived by his children John Clarke and wife Vicky, Belinda Potter and partner Rick Kidd, Denny Clarke and wife Jody, Kristie Miller, and Misty Martin; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Ellsworth Clarke and wife Nancy.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel, with Pastor Troy Mays officiating. The family will receive friend before and after the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home (540)366-0707.
