Obituary of Sharon Lorraine Pedigo

Sharon Lorraine Pedigo, 74, of Roanoke passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Forace Edward and Ina Chafin Pedigo; sister, Barbara Wade and husband Edward; and a brother-in-law, John Ray Wade, Sr.

Sharon was a 1966 graduate of William Fleming High School and retired from Allstate Insurance Company.  She loved to visit the farm and always enjoyed taking care of the cows.  She had an extraordinary bond with her nieces and nephews.  This bond allowed her to be an additional mother, friend, confidant, and advisor.

Surviving are her sister Dorothy P. "Connie" Wade; niece, Robin Robertson and husband Donnie; nephews, John R. Wade, Jr., Barry Edward Wade, and David Alan Wade and wife Amy; and a number of other family members including numerous great nieces and great nephews; and great great nieces, and great great nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Angels of Assisi.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Troy Mays.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
