Obituary of Sandra G. Combs

Sandra Gray Combs, 61, widow of Charles D. Combs, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Alvie P. Gray and the late Louise Brickey Gray. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Beckner.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Samantha C. Combs and Charles David Combs, II; grandchildren, Tristan and Ella Combs; sisters, Sue Snellings, Debbie Hamm (Joe), Jane Thomas, Peggy Blankenship (Curtis); brother, Alvie P. Gray, Jr.; mother-in-law, Carolyn Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Barbara Gertgens, Ruth Combs, Bea Combs, Susie Cobbler; as well as numerous other loving members.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Pastor Rebecca Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home.
