Obituary of Harold Grason Ramsuer

Please share a memory of Harold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Harold Grason Ramsuer, 88, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Harold is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ramsuer, his wife of 66 years; sister, Mable Harris; nephew, Richard (Wendy) Ramsuer; niece, Dana (Tom) Orr; sister-in-law, Doris Armstrong; and other nieces and nephews. Dear to his heart were “children” Debbie Walker; Gerald, Cindy, and Mary Beth Killian.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Ramsuer and Ralph Ramsuer; sister, Cleo (Lennie) Faiges; nephew, Timmy Ramsuer, and sister-in-law, Janet (John) Abshire.

Harold was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He later entered the insurance business as a casualty adjuster and retired from Foremost (now Farmers) Insurance. He and his “Little Buddy” Mary enjoyed many things together including traveling the country and abroad, camping, and family gatherings. Harold and Mary’s marriage was truly a partnership based on friendship, mutual respect, and deep love. Harold worshipped his Lord at Cave Spring Baptist Church. “God Bless You,” as Harold used to say.
