Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 13^th, 2022. Age 86. Born March 18^th, 1936 of Lynchburg,Va to the late Sydney and Ruby Thomas. Preceded by his sister Jean Thomas and his wife Donna Thomas. Murrell is survived by his Brother David Thomas Jr., three sons and special nephew David Wiss among many others.

Steven(Tess), Their children Brian(Jolene)their Children Brain Jr. and Shenandoah, Evan(Courtney) their son Eli and Victoria.

Michael(Cheryl), their child Benjamin

Douglas(Kathy), Their children Jeff(Jessica)their children Nathan and Josh, as well as Corey(Carly)their children Hunter and Carson.

            Graduate of E.C. Glass high school. Murrell proudly served in the United States Air-force Assigned to B-52 Bombers. Graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Murrell was an avid musician and passionate bluegrass artist.

Retired from Georgia Pacific Paper-mill. Member of a Bluegrass association. Member of the Lions Club.

There will be no service at this time.

The family will be holding a private remembrance.
