Obituary of Waverly E. St.Clair

Waverly E "Dute" St.Clair, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Waverly was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born in Blue Ridge , Virginia on November 12, 1930  He was  preceeded in death by his parents, John and Vera St.Clair; and son-in-law, Junior Dudding.

Waverly loved to garden and spend time with his family and grandchlldren.

Waverly is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Shirley St.Clair; daughters Shelbye (Mike) Graham, Janet (Edward) Shoup, Debbie Dudding;  grandchildren who he adored, Heather Walker, Chad Dudding, Matthew Graham; great grandchildren, Alicia Walker, Charlee Belcher, Emalee Dudding and Alivia Dudding;  great great grandson Landon Witham; and brother, Ronald St.Clair.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Steven W. McChesney.  Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
