Obituary of Gaynelle Lorene Wilson Grubb

Gaynelle Lorene Wilson Grubb passed away in her home on February 28th, 2022. She was born in Henry County, VA on January 3rd, 1947 to her parents Grady Harrison Wilson Sr. and Annie Dawn Robertson Wilson. 

Lorene attended Drewry Mason High School. She would go on to work in several medical offices. She retired from Roanoke Valley Community Credit Union as a Loan Officer. She believed that Jesus is Lord and finished her days on earth listening to her favorite hymns. 

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Grady Wilson and her daughter, Lori Kay Grubb. 

Lorene is survived by her husband, Edgar Grubb; her son, Bryan Grubb; Laurissa Thompson; her granddaughters, Casey Grubb and Kayla Meyer (Zachary Meyer); her sisters, Irene Eanes, Bobbie Sue Wilson, Modene Willis (Ronald Willis), Patsy Horsley, Brenda Hopper (Steve Hopper); many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Ginger. 

The memorial service will be held at Villa Heights Baptist Church on Sunday March 6th, 2022. Visitation starts at 1:30 pm followed by a service at 2:30pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
