Cindy Renee Mills, 48, of Salem passed away Monday, December 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonis and Marie Smith; and an infant brother, Doug Smith. Cindy was employed by Famous Anthony's at Southwest Plaza. Surviving are her husband, John Mills; son, Zach Mills; brother, David Smith all of Salem and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the SPCA 1340 Baldwin Avenue N.E. Roanoke, Virginia 24012. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive from noon until service time.
