Obituary of Ruby Pearl Dudley

Ruby B. Dudley, 100, widow of James W. Dudley, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Harve M. Blankenship and the late Mary Bowers Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Ruby worked as the owner and operator of two restaurants prior to retirement. She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army prior to becoming a member of The Church at Grandin Village.

She is survived by her children, James Curtis Dudley (Janice), Delours L. Neighbors (Roy) and Connie Ruth Vaughan; grandchildren, Pam Neighbors, Lori Blanchard (Dan); great-grandchild, Skye McSherry (Patrick); as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 14, 2022 in the Mausoleum at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brian Hughes officiating. The family will speak to guests following the service.
